Academic Perspective

Insights from academic practice

Our psychiatrists hold academic appointments at the University of Washington and Seattle Children's Hospital, and that teaching and research perspective shapes how we read the evidence in ordinary clinical decisions. Dr. Montenegro's work addresses bias reduction in healthcare, doctor–patient communication, and health inequities; Dr. Glass teaches and lectures regionally and nationally on pediatric mental health; Dr. Conant led the Early Psychosis Clinic and continues as a consultant to the Seattle Children's 22Q Clinic. Their individual work is described on their profiles.
